Rainy day 2

And of course the needles were busy, too. At the moment I'm shawl-crazy. So I started with a fantastic yarn from Klabauterwolle (where I also bought the instruction) Chrysopolis. Ein great summer project and yesterday in the evening I finished Clue five, I think and I'm in the middle of the 6th. This will be a present for a dear friend.

Furthermore I registered for several KALs. Not only Slow Bee Mystery 1 and 2, as well as Anna Delvi was luring with the Mystic Meadows KAL. Slow Bee 1 started on Whit Sunday and the first clue has been finished. The yarn colour is that on the first two pictures, not so bright as on picture three. The beads arrived in time and are beautiful drops in the knitting.

Today clue two came out and has been printed.

And then there was also Motherdays. My mother received again socks, she liked them very much.

Rainy day 1

The nature is happy about a rainy day, but I hope, it will be finished tomorrow. Some dear friends will visit us and we want to show them really beautiful things.

It's a long time ago, that I really wrote, but the weather was so fine over a long time so I spend a lot of time outside, often on the balcony but also two times at the waterside of the Duemmer Lake while Arne was surfing.

Of course some nice things arrived during that time. I'm not showing everything, I didn't make photos of everything and in between some things are in the closet now.

My first purchase at Jannettes Rare Yarns:

In between a second followed... She has so many nice things. Both yarns will be used for me. The 'Jaeger' is so nice and has a good running lenght, I hope to find an instruction for a summer top.

Then there came a bit spring from the Schneeschaf

One day I had a nice visit from Hamburg, the dear Gesche. And of course I wanted to show her the Woll-SB-Market. To shop there with a woollover is dangerous But the Angora yarn was a real bargain: 1 EUR per 25g so I took every ball from that colour that was there. This will be a cuddle shawl. For me!

At Sheepaints there was something new to try:

Meribam. G E N I O U S !!!

And Handgefärbt is of course also there, special offers at Kirsten are very dangerous:

Dreamdays

Sun
My balcony
Afternoons at the Lake
Asparagus
Strawberrys

Life is really fun at the moment with such a weather. However this means also, that in a few minutes i will go back to my balcony, where slowly the darkblue velbet of the night raises.

But I'm still alive, I'm still knitting and I think, next time I can post some more entries and photos.

I wish you all a wonderful whitsun-weekend!

Piep!

I'm still alive, don't worry.

But somehow there is not so much to tell this week. I worked on my PIF-Projects, so I can't show them and there was only one parcel from England (where I didn't made a photo until now).

Today the wheather is fantastic so I will go onto my balcony soon. Here I have the choice between my third PIF-present, a bit woll winding (I have to rip the socks for me an wind the yarn again) or maybe to start a shawl for a dear friend.

I wish you all a wonderful Sunday!

Sunday Rest

After the long day yesterday (although it was a lot of fun), today I'm in a quiet Sunday. Arne is outdoors with a mate, the sun came out, but it is still to fresh to sit on the balcony.

Last week I received mail from America. The content: Two books from Elsebeth Lavold, which I liked very much when I saw them on her homepage.

And of course I like a lot of the models from 'very nice' to 'add to the wallpaper roll' (the wallpaper-roll is here in Germany a synonym for a very long Wish-Project-List)

The Take Five Collection
Sara Wallpaper-Roll!
Martha No, I'm not pregnant but it is a great project for an upcoming mum.
Ngaio
Dorothy Wallpaper-Roll!
Patricia Wallpaper-Roll!
Margery
By the way I saw, that Mrs. Lavold and I have a very similar taste concerning crime stories. I heard about every author, hiding beyond the modells of this book and some of them I like very much.

The Enchanted Garden Collection
Erica Wallpaper-Roll!
Veronica Wallpaper-Roll!
Herminia
Linnea Wallpaper-Roll!
Tilia
Eupathia

Todays afternoon I spend winding yarn and take a look at a part of my 'Handgefaerbt'-Stash. I assigned the yarn of some older subscriptions and gave them names, too.

The redbrown and darkgreen yarn ist my yarn for Slow-Bee-Mystery Number 1 (green) and Number 2 (redbrown). And to recover (winding Laceyarn is not so much fun) there was the strand 'Elfenspiegel' (elves-mirror) from 'Tausendschoen. So wonderful colours!

But I'm not just dreaming of wonderfull yarn (did I mention, that I need a longer day urgently?), I'm still knitting. One project is a PIF-project (that means top secret), the other two are socks.

'Mein kleiner Garten' (my little garden) from Kirsten I liked so much, that I wanted to have a pair for myself. With a 150g strand this is no big problem.

For a friend I started knitting one strand of the last years summer subscription. Last Year I started another project with it, but it didn't work. The rest will be enough for a pair of sneakers, although the pattern loves to consum a lot of yarn.

As I decided, to give the balls of this subscription the names of Maledive Islands, this project is named 'Kuramanthi'.

Excursion

Today I got up a bit earlier then on other Saturdays because of a good reason. In Oldenburg is a exhibition this weekend, the Hobbywelt and I wanted to visit it.

My ticket allows me and Arne for example, to use it in the whole transport network (not only in the zone I pay for normally) and so it was absolutly perfect.

The exhibition is not so big, but there is something for most of the creative hobbies. A bit more tinkering, some fabric stands for patchwork e.g., pearls and jewel-making, scrapbooking and cardmaking, a bit yarn and a bit cross-stitching, amongst others the stand of the Cross-Stitch-Corner, as allways recently attended by Uwe Doclot and I think his brother. I met Uwe now several times and I know his wife from the shop and our common 'job' as host of the German part of the Ellen-Maurer-Stroh-Board, it was early and not so busy, so we chatted a bit (normally we allways change some words but often it is a lot of stress and tightness at this stand).

And of course I bought something, for this stand I really need a lottery prize, so many beautiful things are there.

Of course I also found nice things at other stands, a lot for reasonable prices:

Beautiful sets for beautiful cards... I only hope I can understand all the dutch instructions

After I saw nearly everthing and was pleased with my purchase, I met Arne again at the main station (no, I would never trail him to such an event, althought maybe the modelbuilding part would have been intersting for him) and we went together to the city of the town, before we returned to go home.

Here is the yarn I had to bought (of course ) Whereas the green ball below was bought at a shop in the city.

Yesterday afternoon I wounded a lot of yarn:

The strands of these years subscriptions from a handdying German yarn shop and one strand of the fantastic soft Meriba from Sheepaints.

Spring-Eavesdropping...

Hello dear readers, spring is coming, did I spend today some time on the balcony, holding my nose into the sun. Although a thicker sweater was neccessary, it is coming, I can feel and smell it.

Yesterday again I spend a wonderful afternoon and evening in Hamburg. During the train ride I finished a pair of socks, the last one at the moment on my Socks-To-Do-List (which will change very fast, for sure)

Mein kleiner Garten (My little garden)
River Rapids from Sockbug-Blog
Kirsten 'Handgefaerbt', an older pure Merino

Then of course some parcels arrived. New inspirationens:

The 'book' from Charlene Schurch is fantastic (I choose even one pattern) and the Drops-Magazines also content some nice patterns.

And for some projects. Yes, the Projects-To-Do-List is also fast growing.

This yarn I want to use for the Slow-Bee-Mystery 1. Special here: I had two strands in the stash, one was missing, but in the shop where I bought the others sold out. So I ordered the third one directly in Uruguay... and it fits perfectly.

And because the green strand from Uruguay should not travel alone, so these two where allowed to come with it:

And have a look, there is another Slow-Bee-Mystery 2, for which I registrated because I was courious. I thought to make a decision for one, but now I will try both. With the two strands I want to knit the smaller version for my friend Caro.

This yarn I had to buy in two shops. While gluing my instructions I saw the design and I liked it. The name of the project will be 'Summertime'.

At the moment I work much for the Pay-it-forward-Campaign.In between I have an idea and the material for every angel (or, as a friend said, PIF-recipient).

So now, I wish you all a nice weekend! Arne and I will watch DVDs this evening, most of the Television Program is horrible today except of the sports-program, Werder Bremen won a very important match today in a great way
