The whole weekend I wanted to post, but there was no possibility. I collected the photos, but somehow in the end I was allways too tired to imbed them into text.
Today we enjoy an additional free day (vacation), although the weather is grey. At the moment this is really strange, on Saturday we were even able to sit on the balcony, yesterday, well yesterday it was fantastic and we spend a wonderful day at the Dümmer Lake (close to Diepholz), Arne and his buddy in the water on the surfboard, I at the waterside, of course with my knitting.
Some things get finished this weekend. And some new things can also be shown.
There is for example a little parcel, which arrived on Saturday from the
Woolbox. I used a special offer in June and ordered the new yarn Regia Galaxy in 'Meer' (Ocean) and 'Wald' (Forest).
Today arrived an envelope with my shopping from the Ebay-Shop
Wollpassion. Several laudatory Blog-entries made me curious and I wanted to try the 'Passion'. And for testing I added two bally Fabel-Yarn from
Drops (this yarn is available for very reasonable prices).
In fact I wanted to use the long weekend for cross-stitching. But it didn't work, somehow I allways found my way to the knitting needles. Well, I have some time left till I have to finish it, at latest next weekend I will do more!
On Friday I had a conversation with my dentist, which went very positiv and daffed some misunderstandings aside. Before I had to wait quite a long time. And so I finished another single (at home, I had nearly just to do the top). Once more with the new top, I really like it in between.
This sock project I call 'Sommer pur' (Summer pure).
It was on Saturday that I planned to stitch. But then came in my mind, that perhaps I could take a little present with me to Hamburg, for my friend Heike (to explain: In one of the boards I visit I came in contact with a group based in Hamburg. We understand each other very much and normally once a month we meet personally in Hamburg). The missing second sock was knitted in one day.
Appropriate to the very beautiful yarn from
Anett/Selavi I named the project 'Elegance'. The pattern is the
Eagles Flight-pattern. I'm looking forward, what Heike will say.
Yesterday in the morning it was decided, that Arne would use the beautiful weather to surf. I found a seat in the car (the rest was occupied by Arne, of course and the surf-equipment).Of course this meant a lot of time to knit. And so another single is waiting for breeding.
The yarn is a Opal Bambus (Opal Bamboo) in the colour 'Rose von Jericho' (Rose of Jericho)
In the evening I was unable to stand the allurements of
Sheepaints and could really recover my two strands to the cash and beyond. As I bought in between so many yarn there, I wanted to test it now. Winded was just 'Nell' and so I start to knit. It is a strand with silk and ramie and knitting is completly fun. 'Nell' will be also for Heike, she will like the colours.
Today then I tinkered. A card for a colleague has to be made who will retire. The card is nearly finished, the rest, a bit of gluing and cutting to the finished measures, I will do tomorrow in the company.
