On the way
Excursion
Today I got up a bit earlier then on other Saturdays because of a good reason. In Oldenburg is a exhibition this weekend, the Hobbywelt and I wanted to visit it.
My ticket allows me and Arne for example, to use it in the whole transport network (not only in the zone I pay for normally) and so it was absolutly perfect.
The exhibition is not so big, but there is something for most of the creative hobbies. A bit more tinkering, some fabric stands for patchwork e.g., pearls and jewel-making, scrapbooking and cardmaking, a bit yarn and a bit cross-stitching, amongst others the stand of the Cross-Stitch-Corner, as allways recently attended by Uwe Doclot and I think his brother. I met Uwe now several times and I know his wife from the shop and our common 'job' as host of the German part of the Ellen-Maurer-Stroh-Board, it was early and not so busy, so we chatted a bit (normally we allways change some words but often it is a lot of stress and tightness at this stand).
And of course I bought something, for this stand I really need a lottery prize, so many beautiful things are there.
Of course I also found nice things at other stands, a lot for reasonable prices:
Beautiful sets for beautiful cards... I only hope I can understand all the dutch instructions After I saw nearly everthing and was pleased with my purchase, I met Arne again at the main station (no, I would never trail him to such an event, althought maybe the modelbuilding part would have been intersting for him) and we went together to the city of the town, before we returned to go home. Here is the yarn I had to bought (of course ) Whereas the green ball below was bought at a shop in the city. Yesterday afternoon I wounded a lot of yarn: The strands of these years subscriptions from a handdying German yarn shop and one strand of the fantastic soft Meriba from Sheepaints.

Lanzarote-Impressions 'Cats'
I made it to build a few categories and to assign roughly photos to them. The chapter 'cats' is the absolute easiest, so I start with it.
The grade of smoothiness can be regocnized with the frequency of the photos.
Bianca, my darling of the last years, is only on one photo, downstairs on the way. On one hand she visited often the house next-door, where the lodger spoiled the cats with wet food, on the other hand she is not anymore as beautiful as in the past years. As you can see, she is a white cat and she had always problems with the strong sun (which she does not avoid) and the thin coated parts of her ear tips. In between this degenerated massive at one ear. Sometimes I would love it to take her with me to Germany, because the sun is not so strong here as 3500km southwards and I would be interested what the veterinary of my parents would do to help her. Otherwise the cat is healthy, eats and is active, but it's sad to see what became of my little girl, she has such a lovely little face.
Last autumn Blacky sneaked off in the evenings to the feeding dish and ate fast. After Morena (the dog) died in November, he 'moved in', ist very cheeky to my Oskar but very shy with humans (especially after he has to cope with the horrible treatment to be captured an brought to the veterinary to be unsexed and inoculated ), but in between he slowly recovers (or he cannot resist our charm), he gives headbutts and likes stroking. But carefulness is neccessary, from one moment to the other he hits.
Linda lives in the house since a few years, a tender catlady, covered with cuddly close coat with sky-blue eyes. She is also shy, but when she's in the mood she loves to be stroked.

Oskar, my our absolute Darling this year. Previously he also was a bit reserved, but this has changes completly. He is a real cat burglar, purrs like a world champion in any circumstance, curious, a bit cheeky and so dear. On one photo he drinks out of a tankard standing full of water next to the sink (don't ask why but you can be sure, that no human drinks out of it), he loves it. On the photo together with me he looks querulos, but in fact he loved it lying on my lap.
