Cross Stitching
Progress Part 1
Thanks to some very nice nightshifts (did I mention 'Babylon 5'? I love this show!), I've done a lot.
For exampe I finished the blue Fabergé-egg also in time. The pattern is from 'Cross Stitch Gold' 38, a design from Ann McGregor.
And here both completed cards together:

One needle, a lot of threads and a piece of fabric
A few years ago I was completly addicted by cross-stitch. Then, a colleague reinfected me with the knitting virus. After finishing a very big cross-stitch project I was tired with this kind of needlework and switched more and more to knitting. The German text was posted on May, 26th.
Yes, you are looking right. This is cross-stitch. What happened?
In the EMS-Board (see Linklist) a very fast stitcher is participating (a real champion by the way, she stitched/is stitching many pictures from Theresa Wentzler!), who showed some finished projects from this book:
I liked them so much, I ordered the book, too. It arrived today, I browsed - and was thrilled. So many beautiful motivs, fantastic. If I will ever start one of the big colourful motivs, I don't know, but many middlesized pictures and little card motivs are a real dream. Today I started an order at Sewandso. For the middlesized pictures I don't want to use the recommended Aida Rustico (which is used for nearly all of the projects) but Belfast Vintage in Cream, I think this will turn out very beautiful and elegant, too.The photo shows the beginning of one of the cards. It is stitched on Aida Rustico 18ct, this fabric was already in my stock. It will become a birthday card for a friend.
